Dentures Singapore Cost Guide · Updated July 2026
Dentures Cost in Singapore — 2026 Guide
False teeth in Singapore range from S$300 to S$25,000 — depending on whether you need a partial denture, a full denture, or implant-supported options. This guide is a complete breakdown of denture prices - every cost variable CHAS subsidies, and MediSave rules in one place — including the new MOH fee benchmarks and the enhanced CHAS subsidies effective 1 October 2025.
Cost Summary
Dentures in Singapore cost S$300–S$3,500 per arch at private clinics, depending on type and material. Acrylic partial dentures start from S$300; complete dentures range S$800–S$3,500 per arch; implant-supported dentures cost S$8,000–S$25,000 total.
At public institutions, NDCS charges S$288–S$1,317 per arch for partial to complete dentures (subsidised rate). CHAS subsidies (effective 1 October 2025) reduce costs by up to S$418.50 per arch for Pioneer Generation cardholders. Removable dentures are not MediSave-claimable.
The cost of false teeth in Singapore varies depending on the type of denture, materials used, and how complex your case is. Dentures restore chewing, speech, and facial support after tooth loss.
At Dentalis, treatment is planned for long-term comfort, not just price. According to Dr Jonathan Liu, the biggest mistake patients make is choosing based on cost alone rather than fit and durability.

Cost Variables
What Affects the Cost of Dentures?
Six factors determine the final cost: denture type · material · number of teeth replaced · case complexity · clinic type · fabrication method.
1. Denture type
Partial dentures replacing a few teeth cost less than complete dentures replacing a full arch. Implant-supported designs cost significantly more upfront due to the surgical implant placement component.
2. Material
Acrylic (PMMA) is the most affordable. Flexible thermoplastics — Valplast, BioFlex — are mid-range. Cobalt-chrome metal frameworks are the highest-priced removable option and the most durable. Material is the single largest cost variable within each denture category.
3. Number of teeth replaced
For partial dentures, more replacement teeth means more material and lab work. CHAS distinguishes between simple partial dentures (fewer than 6 teeth replaced) and complex (6 or more teeth), with different subsidy tiers for each.
4. Case complexity
Severely resorbed ridges, complex bite reconstruction, and pre-extraction work add to cost. Patients with significant bone loss may require additional adjustments or implant support for long-term stability.
5. Clinic type
Public institutions offer the lowest fees for subsidised patients but have longer waiting times and more limited material options. CHAS-accredited private clinics offer the same government subsidy with shorter waiting times and a wider range of materials. Non-CHAS private clinics charge full market rates.
6. Fabrication method
Traditional impression techniques and analogue lab work remain the standard. CAD/CAM milled or digitally designed dentures — available at selected clinics in Singapore — are typically priced at a 10–20% premium over conventional, with faster turnaround and improved fit precision.

Public vs Private
Polyclinic vs Private Clinic — False Teeth Cost Compared
The cost gap between public and private dental care is smaller than many patients expect — particularly for CHAS cardholders. For Pioneer Generation patients, the effective out-of-pocket at a private CHAS clinic is often comparable to the polyclinic rate.

Cost by Material and Type
Denture Cost by Type — What You Are Paying For
Acrylic dentures (false teeth)
The most affordable and widely prescribed material. Acrylic (PMMA) forms the pink base and replacement teeth. Partial acrylic dentures use clasps to grip adjacent natural teeth; complete acrylic dentures rely on suction and muscle adaptation. Easy to adjust and repair — important as the alveolar ridge changes shape over time.
- Partial: S$300 – S$1,200 per arch · Complete: S$800 – S$2,500 per arch
- Estimated lifespan: typically 5–7 years; relining typically needed every 2–3 years as the ridge resorbs
- CHAS claimable at accredited clinics
Flexible dentures
Fabricated from thermoplastic nylon — Valplast is the most widely used brand, with alternatives including BioFlex and TCS. The base flexes with gum movement; clasps are gum-coloured, avoiding visible metal. Lighter than acrylic and more comfortable against the gum tissue for many patients.
- Partial: S$700 – S$1,800 per arch
- Estimated lifespan: typically 5–8 years; cannot be relined — replacement required when the fit changes
- Limitation: cannot have teeth added later; lower chewing force than cobalt chrome
- CHAS claimable at accredited clinics
Cobalt chrome dentures
A cobalt-chrome alloy forms the structural skeleton. Acrylic and replacement teeth are added to it. The strongest, thinnest, and most durable removable partial denture available. Preferred for long-term daily wear. Not suitable for documented metal allergies.
- Partial: S$1,200 – S$3,500 per arch
- Estimated lifespan: typically 10+ years
- CHAS claimable at accredited clinics
Immediate and same-day dentures
Fabricated before extractions and placed on the same day, so the patient leaves without a visible gap. As gum tissue heals and bone remodels, the fit changes — relining or a replacement denture is typically needed within 3–6 months. "Same-day" can also refer to CAD/CAM digital fabrication without extraction at some clinics — confirm which process applies.
- Cost: S$1,500 – S$3,500 per arch
- Note: two-stage cost — immediate denture plus later replacement (~S$800–S$3,500)
Implant-supported dentures
A denture anchored to 2–6 dental implants surgically placed in the jaw. The most stable removable solution. The implant surgical placement may be MediSave-claimable under TOSP SB816M (up to S$1,120 per implant); the denture prosthetic is not.
- Implant-retained (2 implants, snap-on): S$8,000 – S$15,000 total
- Implant-supported (4–6 implants): S$18,000 – S$25,000+ total
- Estimated lifespan: 10–15 years (prosthetic); implants typically longer with proper maintenance
Lifespan estimates are based on clinical literature and manufacturer guidance. Actual longevity depends on bone resorption rate, oral hygiene, and individual jaw anatomy. Sources: Carlsson GE & Omar R, Acta Odontol Scand 2010; Valplast International technical documentation; prosthodontic clinical consensus.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions — Dentures & False Teeth Cost Singapore
Acrylic partial dentures are the most affordable, starting from S$300 per arch at private clinics. At NDCS, subsidised rates for partial dentures start from S$288 per arch. For eligible CHAS cardholders, the effective out-of-pocket at a private CHAS clinic is further reduced by S$202.50 to S$314.00 per arch for simple partial dentures.
At NDCS, subsidised fees for complete dentures range from S$409 to S$1,317 per arch. At private CHAS-accredited clinics, fees before subsidy range from S$800 to S$3,500 per arch — but after the Pioneer Generation subsidy of S$418.50, the effective out-of-pocket at a private clinic can be comparable to the NDCS rate, with greater material choice and shorter waiting times.
Yes. CHAS subsidies apply to partial dentures as a category, regardless of whether the base material is acrylic, cobalt chrome, or flexible thermoplastic. Eligibility depends on your card tier and the number of teeth replaced. Only one partial denture claim per arch is permitted every three calendar years, shared across simple and complex types.
Price differences usually reflect lab quality, fabrication method, time spent on adjustments, and the level of clinical planning in bite registration and fit precision. Two dentures using the same base material can differ significantly in how they feel over months and years. The upfront fee reflects how much time and precision goes into the fitting process — not just the material itself.
No. Conventional removable dentures — acrylic, flexible, and cobalt chrome — are not MediSave-claimable. This applies regardless of material or complexity. CHAS subsidies apply instead at accredited clinics. If your plan includes implant-supported dentures, the surgical implant placement component may be claimable under TOSP SB816M (up to S$1,120 per implant).
Denture relining costs approximately S$200–S$500 at private clinics, depending on the type and extent of relining required. CHAS subsidies for reline or repair range from S$50 (CHAS Orange) to S$85 (Pioneer Generation) per arch, claimable once per arch per calendar year at accredited clinics.
Not automatically — but higher-cost dentures are typically associated with more precise impressions, a better-matched bite, and more adjustment visits. These factors directly affect how comfortable and stable the denture feels in daily use. A well-fitted S$1,500 cobalt chrome partial denture will generally outperform a poorly fitted one at any price point.
Most acrylic complete dentures require relining within two to three years as the alveolar ridge resorbs after tooth loss, and full replacement at five to seven years. Cobalt chrome partial dentures typically last ten or more years with appropriate maintenance. Implant-retained prosthetics generally need replacement at ten to fifteen years; the implants themselves may remain functional considerably longer.
