Dental Assistant
A clinical role for someone who takes the detail as seriously as the dentist does.
Dentalis is a boutique dental clinic in a heritage shophouse in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore CBD. We are looking for a Dental Assistant — full-time or part-time — to support our clinical team chairside, maintain a high standard of infection control and keep treatment rooms running at their best.
No prior dental experience is required. What matters most is reliability, attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a professional, unhurried clinical environment.

What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities
Chairside & Clinical
Supporting treatment and patient care
- Assist dentists chairside during dental treatment procedures
- Ensure all dental instruments and materials are prepared and ready before each patient enters the treatment room
- Take X-rays for patients as directed by the dentist
- Make dental models of patients' teeth as required
- Provide attentive clinical support throughout each appointment
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the practice manager or dental surgeon on duty
Sterilisation & Clinic Standards
Maintaining infection control and operational readiness
- Maintain cleanliness, disinfect and sterilise treatment rooms and all clinical equipment after each patient
- Clean, sterilise, sort and pack dental instruments to the correct infection control protocols
- Maintain a consistently high standard of infection control across all clinical areas
- Manage stock inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering when required
- Ensure treatment rooms are always fully stocked and operationally ready at the start of each session
Candidate Profile
What We're Looking For
You may be a good fit if you are:
- Holding a minimum GCE N/O Level or ITE certification
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Organised, detail-oriented and able to multitask in a clinical environment
- Able to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Reliable, punctual and professional in conduct
- Willing to learn clinical procedures if you do not yet have experience
Experience in chairside assistance, patient care or sterilisation procedures is helpful but not required — training is provided.
Background bonus

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Saturday, 9am to 1pm. 5.5 days work week. All shifts are daytime — no night shifts and no rotating schedules.
Yes. Taking dental X-rays is part of the role. If you do not have prior experience, training will be provided on the job. You will be supervised until you are confident and competent with the procedure.
Yes. The minimum qualification is GCE N/O Levels or an ITE certification. ITE graduates — particularly those with a NITEC in Dental Assisting — are very welcome to apply. Fresh school leavers with no prior dental experience are also considered. The right attitude and work ethic matter more than your starting experience level.
