Art Exhibition Wellness

At Dentalis, our philosophy is simple: Art on the Walls, Calm in the Chair.

In partnership with Fiidaa Art, we invite you to explore The Spaces Between @ Dentalis — our inaugural exhibition transforming a heritage shophouse into a sanctuary where art and wellness converge.

Running from 10 October 2025 to 31 January 2026, this showcase brings together the captivating works of two talented Singapore-based artists, Max Kong and Georgina Gray, exploring the delicate balance found in contrasts — between order and play, structure and imagination, calm and colour.

Art With a Function: The Therapeutic Canvas

This isn't merely art on a wall — it's art with a purpose. The selected pieces were curated not just for beauty, but as therapeutic anchors designed to actively engage visitors and promote tranquility in an environment often associated with dental anxiety.

Kong's rhythmic abstractions draw attention to the nuanced negative spaces, while Gray's vibrant, whimsical worlds fill those in-betweens with wonder and life — collectively offering a space for comfort and contemplation.

Art in a dental clinic isn't a luxury; it's an essential part of the care experience. Max Kong  ·  Featured Artist

The Artists

Featured Artist

Max Kong

Max Kong's concentric square compositions create an immediate sense of balance and stillness upon entering the space. His clean, meditative geometry mirrors the precision and calm sought in the Dentalis environment.

Max's geometric works at Dentalis are designed not as decoration but as visual anchors that foster a sense of calm and emotional safety. Through repetition, balance, and the quiet presence of negative space, his compositions invite stillness — easing the nervous system even before a patient's appointment begins.

Born in Singapore in 1974. MFA, LASALLE College of the Arts · Fine Arts, RMIT University, Australia. Platinum Award, 28th UOB Painting of the Year. Works held in the Singapore Art Museum, United Overseas Bank, and National University of Singapore collections.

Featured Artist

Georgina Gray

Georgina Gray's vibrant, whimsical works inject warmth and joy throughout the exhibition. Her tropical scenes, playful black cats, and dreamlike palettes invite visitors to pause, smile, and reconnect with imagination.

"I paint these joyful little worlds to remind us that life's not all serious business. If my orang utan on a swing or playful black cat made you feel a bit calmer as you headed for your dental treatment, that's exactly why they're there."

Contemporary artist of British-Chinese descent based in Singapore. Background in graphic design and advertising. Works primarily with acrylics on canvas — celebrations of wanderlust, nature, and playful escapism.

Before You Step Inside: Meet Molartopia

Before you enter the clinic, don't miss Molartopia — the 1.2-metre sculptural molar at the entrance. Part public art, part anatomical homage, it's Tanjong Pagar's most unexpected photo opportunity and a signal that this isn't a typical clinic visit.
