Root Canal Treatment
A painful tooth doesn’t have to mean losing it.
At Dentalis, our gentle dentists use the latest techniques to make root canal treatment as comfortable as possible — so you can eat, smile, and live pain-free again
With digital imaging, rotary instruments, and a calm, modern clinic setting, we make this once-feared procedure a smooth and stress-free experience.

What is a Root Canal Treatment?
Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed pulp from inside your tooth — stopping pain, preventing infection from spreading, and saving your natural tooth. This lets you keep chewing, smiling, and living as usual.
Inside each tooth is a space called the root canal, filled with soft tissue (the pulp) that contains nerves and blood vessels. When deep decay, trauma, or repeated dental work damages the pulp, it can become infected. If left untreated, the infection may spread, form an abscess, and even lead to tooth loss.
During treatment, our dentist carefully removes the infected pulp, disinfects the canal, and seals the tooth to keep it strong. For back teeth, we often recommend a crown afterwards to protect the tooth and restore its natural appearance for the long term.

When You Might Need a Root Canal
Look out for:
-
Sharp pain when chewing or biting
-
Sensitivity that lingers after hot/cold drinks
-
Swollen or tender gums near a tooth
-
A darkened tooth
-
A small pimple-like bump near your gums (abscess)
Early treatment can save your tooth before the infection worsens.

Why Root Canal Treatment Matters?
-
Preserve Your Natural Smile: Avoid extraction and keep your bite intact
-
Long-Lasting Relief: Stop the infection at its source
-
Protect Your Oral Health: Prevent spread to jawbone or neighbouring teeth
-
Restore Strength & Confidence: Top it with a crown that looks natural

Root Canal Cost & CHAS Subsidies
Root canal costs vary based on which tooth is treated and how complex the case is.
-
Medisave: Not claimable
-
CHAS: Covers up to 2 root canal treatments + 4 crowns per year
Tip: Pairing your root canal with a dental crown helps protect it for the long term — and is partially subsidised.
