The Comprehensive Dental Implant Price Guide in Singapore
Dental Implant Cost in Singapore (2026)
Quick Answer
A single dental implant with crown at a private clinic in Singapore costs between S$1,250 and S$6,000+, depending on the implant system, crown material, and whether preparatory procedures such as bone grafting or sinus lifting are required.
The lowest-cost options — typically Korean-system implants at heartland clinics — start from S$1,250 all-inclusive (fixture, abutment, and metal crown). Advertised all-inclusive prices with a PFM or zirconia crown range from around S$2,449. Premium European or Swiss-system implants at specialist or CBD clinics range from S$4,500 to S$6,000+ including zirconia crown. Public hospital rates for subsidised patients average S$4,859 to S$6,600 for the complete procedure.
MediSave covers the surgical placement of the implant fixture — not the crown or consultation. The claimable amount is S$1,120 per implant, with a separate allowance of up to S$830 for surgical consumables per session (not per implant). In a single session, a patient placing three implants could claim S$4,190: (S$1,120 × 3) + S$830.

Understanding the Quote
What Does a Dental Implant Price Actually Include?
A complete single dental implant has three components: the titanium fixture (surgical), the abutment (connector), and the ceramic crown (visible tooth). Advertised prices vary significantly in what they include — some cover only part of the treatment, others are all-inclusive. Always confirm the stated inclusions before comparing headline figures.
The most important question when comparing quotes is not “how much?” — it is “how much, and for what?” The word “implant” is used differently across clinics. Some quote the fixture alone, after deducting MediSave. Others quote the completed tooth including crown and abutment. Some include the CBCT scan and post-operative reviews; others bill these separately. These differences can account for a price gap of S$1,500 or more between quotes that appear to be for the same thing.
The three components of a completed implant
01 — Fixture
The titanium post
Placed surgically into the jawbone. Serves as the artificial root. The only component MediSave covers. The implant brand (Korean vs Swiss/European) is the single largest price variable.
02 — Abutment
The connector piece
Connects the fixture to the crown. Sometimes included in the fixture price; sometimes itemised separately at S$300–S$600.
03 — Crown
The visible ceramic tooth
Placed on top of the abutment. PFM crowns cost less than full zirconia, which offers better aesthetics and durability under load.
What the price includes — by scope
| Scope | Price range (before 9% GST) |
|---|---|
| Fixture + abutment + metal crown (all-inclusive) | From S$1,250 |
| Fixture + abutment + PFM crown | S$1,950 – S$3,000+ |
| Fixture + abutment + zirconia crown | S$2,350 – S$6,000+ |
| After MediSave deduction (estimated) | S$300 – S$4,500+ |
| Public hospital, NDCS (non-subsidised, implant with crown) | S$4,859 – S$6,600 |
| Bone graft — in-clinic procedure | S$250 – S$3,000+ |
| Sinus lift | S$800 – S$3,500+ |
Before accepting any quote, confirm: Does this include the abutment and crown? Which implant system and brand will be used? Is the CBCT scan included? Are post-operative reviews billed separately? Is bone grafting likely to be needed?

By Replacement Type
Implant Cost by Replacement Scope
Not all implant treatments are the same scope. A single missing tooth, multiple missing teeth, and a full arch each follow a different clinical path — and a significantly different cost structure.
| Replacement type | What it involves | Approx. cost (before GST) | MediSave |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single tooth implant | 1 fixture + 1 abutment + 1 crown | S$1,250–S$6,000+ | Up to S$1,950 (surgical portion) |
| Implant-supported bridge Replaces 2–4 consecutive teeth |
2 fixtures supporting a multi-unit ceramic bridge | S$7,000–S$16,000+ | Up to S$1,950 per implant (surgical) |
| Implant-supported overdenture Replaces full arch, remains removable |
2–4 fixtures with snap-in or bar-retained denture | S$8,000–S$20,000+ | Per fixture placed (surgical) |
| Full-arch fixed (All-on-4™) Replaces full arch, fixed in mouth |
4–6 fixtures with fixed zirconia bridge, per arch | S$20,000–S$40,000+ per arch | Per fixture placed (surgical) |
All prices before 9% GST. Ranges reflect Singapore private clinic market as of June 2026. MediSave applies to surgical fixture placement only (TOSP SB816M: S$1,120 per implant + S$830 consumables per session). Bone graft and sinus lift fees additional where required.
The Honest Breakdown
Why Is There Such a Wide Range in Dental Implant Costs?
Implant quotes vary because of six variables: what the quote includes, which implant brand is used, whether bone grafting is needed, who performs the surgery, what crown material is used, and where the clinic is located. Two quotes for “a dental implant” can describe entirely different scopes of treatment.
The difference between a S$1,250 quote and a S$6,000 quote is rarely arbitrary. Six factors drive it.
What is actually included
Fixture-only quotes and all-inclusive quotes are not comparable. A S$1,250 all-inclusive price covers fixture, abutment, and metal crown. A S$4,500 quote covers fixture, abutment, and zirconia crown. Confirm inclusions before comparing.
Implant system and brand
Korean-system implants (Osstem, Dentium, NeoBiotech) are widely used in Singapore and priced lower — typically S$800–S$1,500 per fixture. European-system implants (Straumann, Camlog, Nobel Biocare, Neodent) carry a higher cost reflecting their long-term clinical evidence base, manufacturing tolerances, and international component traceability.
Korean vs Swiss and European implants
A Korean-brand fixture typically costs S$800–S$1,500 per unit. A Swiss or European-brand fixture (Straumann, Camlog, Nobel Biocare) typically costs S$1,800–S$4,000 per unit. Both integrate with the jawbone. The differences lie in the volume of long-term published clinical data, manufacturing tolerances, and component supply chain commitments over a 15–20 year horizon.
General dentist vs oral surgeon
Straightforward single-tooth implant placement in a patient with adequate bone can often be performed by an experienced general dentist. Cases involving significant bone loss, proximity to the mandibular canal, sinus involvement, or simultaneous bone grafting will likely require an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Clinician experience and qualifications are reflected in the fee.
Clinic type and location
Public hospital dental departments (NDCS, CGH, NUCOHS) offer subsidised rates for eligible Singaporeans, but with longer waiting times. Private clinics in CBD or Orchard locations carry higher overheads than heartland practices — reflected in fees.
Additional procedures
Bone grafting and sinus lifts are required in a significant proportion of implant cases — particularly where the tooth has been missing for some time. These add S$800–S$3,500+ to the total before GST. See our complete dental implant guide for a full overview of when each procedure applies.
What else is hidden
Follow-up visits, local anaesthesia, medications, disposables, and temporary tooth replacement during osseointegration may or may not be included. Ask for a line-item breakdown before committing.
Dentalis Fee Schedule
Dental Implant Fees at Dentalis
Dentalis is a boutique clinic at 52 Craig Rd, Tanjong Pagar. Principal dentist Dr Jonathan Liu (BDS NUS, 25+ years, 10,000+ patients) handles all implant consultations, CBCT assessments, and restorative care. Complex surgical procedures — including bone grafting and sinus lifting — are performed by visiting Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr Albert Lee Ming Hsien (MDS OMS, F.A.M.S., formerly Head of the Craniofacial and Oral Implantology Programme at NDCS, Duke-NUS Clinical Assistant Professor).
All implant cases at Dentalis are handled collectively by Dr Jonathan Liu (BDS NUS, 25+ years, SDC D21395J) and Dr Albert Lee Ming Hsien (MDS OMS, F.A.M.S., 15 years, SDC D22238J), an MOH-accredited Dental Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Your treatment plan and fees are confirmed in full at consultation before any procedure is scheduled.
All fees are before 9% GST. A cost breakdown with MediSave entitlements is provided at consultation before any treatment is scheduled.
| Treatment | Fee (before 9% GST) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Consultation | S$80 | Full clinical examination and treatment planning |
| CBCT scan | S$150 | 3D bone mapping, nerve proximity assessment |
| Single dental implant — Camlog | From S$4,500 | Fixture + abutment + ceramic (zirconia) crown + local anaesthesia + guided keyhole surgery |
| Bone graft | From S$800 | Where bone volume is insufficient — confirmed at consultation following CBCT |
| Sinus lift | From S$1,000 | Upper back-tooth sites with limited bone height — confirmed at consultation |
| IV sedation | S$1,200/hr, then S$300/15 min | Available for anxious patients or complex procedures |
| Photobiomodulation (PBM) | Included | Gemini Evo 810+980 laser applied post-placement and at healing reviews where clinically appropriate. Not an add-on charge. |
The from S$4,500 Dentalis fee covers the Camlog implant fixture, abutment, ceramic crown, local anaesthesia, guided keyhole surgery preparation, and PBM where clinically appropriate. Consultation (S$80) and CBCT (S$150) are charged at the first visit and are not included in the S$4,500 figure.
Dentalis uses the Camlog implant system — Swiss-designed and German-manufactured (BioHorizons Camlog Group). Selected for its documented long-term clinical outcomes, precision tolerances, and component traceability. Every fixture carries a retrievable serial number; replacement parts remain accessible through the international Camlog network.
Front tooth vs back tooth — does position affect the cost?
Yes, in some cases. Back-tooth implant placements are typically more straightforward. Front-tooth (anterior) implants involve additional aesthetic management: precise shade matching, careful gum margin control, and a temporary crown during the osseointegration period to maintain appearance. These steps can increase the total fee. Confirmed at consultation.
| Front tooth | Back tooth | |
|---|---|---|
| Primary concern | Aesthetics, shade match, gum line | Function, bite load distribution |
| Temporary crown during healing | Almost always required | Often not required |
| Crown material | Full-contour zirconia or lithium disilicate | Zirconia or PFM |
| Fee implication | May be higher — confirmed at consultation | Standard range applies |
“The cost question I hear most often is: ‘why is there such a wide range?’ The honest answer is that a S$1,250 quote and a S$4,500 quote are frequently not for the same thing. Patients deserve to know exactly what they are comparing before they decide.”

Using MediSave for a Dental Implant in Singapore
MediSave covers the surgical placement of the implant fixture only. The crown, abutment, consultation, and CBCT scan are not claimable. The claimable amount is S$1,120 per implant plus S$830 per session in consumables (TOSP SB816M, effective 4 January 2025, CPF Board). For one implant in one session, the maximum MediSave claim is S$1,950. Singaporeans and PRs may use their own MediSave or that of an immediate family member (spouse, parents, children, siblings, grandparents), subject to CPF Board approval. For a complete walkthrough of how MediSave claims work at Dentalis, see our MediSave for dental treatment guide.
How the MediSave limit is calculated
The withdrawal limit is made up of two components (effective 4 January 2025, CPF Board):
TOSP SB816M — Surgical placement
S$1,120
Per implant. Multiplied by the number of implants placed in the session.
Surgical consumables
S$830
Per session — fixed, regardless of how many implants are placed in that session.
MediSave for multiple implants — same session
| Implants in one session | Surgical placement | Consumables | Total MediSave claim |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 implant | S$1,120 | S$830 | S$1,950 |
| 2 implants | S$2,240 | S$830 | S$3,070 |
| 3 implants | S$3,360 | S$830 | S$4,190 |
MediSave withdrawals for day surgery are subject to a session cap of S$5,290. For more than four implants in one session, splitting across separate sessions may be required.
MediSave for bone grafting and sinus lifts
| Procedure (standalone session) | TOSP code | MediSave limit |
|---|---|---|
| Bone graft / GBR | SB803M | Up to S$1,950 |
| Sinus lift, unilateral (lateral window) | SB802M | Up to S$2,220 |
| Bilateral sinus lift | SB814M | Up to S$3,210 |
| Implant removal (trephine) | SB702M | Up to S$490 |
Source: CPF Board TOSP Schedule, effective April 2025. If bone grafting and implant placement are performed in the same session, only the higher-value TOSP code is claimable. Separating into two sessions where clinically appropriate allows a separate claim for each.

Government Subsidies
CHAS Subsidies, Flexi-MediSave, and Dental Implants
CHAS does not apply to the implant surgical procedure itself. It applies to the consultation, X-rays, and permanent crown at CHAS-enrolled clinics for eligible cardholders.

Flexi-MediSave — patients aged 60 and above
Available from 1 June 2026
Seniors aged 60 and above can use Flexi-MediSave to offset up to S$400 per year toward permanent dental crowns on natural teeth and root canal treatment at CHAS-accredited dental clinics. This does not apply to implant crowns or the implant fixture itself.
The S$400 is an annual limit per patient. It is separate from — and in addition to — the standard MediSave claim for the implant surgical procedure (TOSP SB816M). Enquire at consultation about which subsidies apply to your specific case. Dentalis is both CHAS-enrolled and MediSave-accredited.

Dental Insurance
Does Dental Insurance Cover Dental Implants?
Standard group and individual dental insurance policies in Singapore typically exclude dental implants, classifying them as major restorative or specialist procedures. Coverage varies substantially by policy tier, insurer, and plan type.
Key questions to check in your policy
- Is “dental implant” listed as a covered procedure?
- Is it covered under “major restorative” or “prosthetics” — and at what percentage?
- What is the annual maximum benefit for major dental treatment?
- Is there a waiting period (typically 6–12 months) before major dental benefits activate?
- Does accident-related tooth loss change coverage? Many policies cover implants for teeth lost in a covered accident even when routine implants are excluded.
- Does the policy require pre-authorisation for major procedures?
International and corporate insurers
Cigna International, AXA PPP International, Allianz Care, and Bupa International may cover implants depending on policy tier. Alliance MediNet, Groupe Henner, and United Healthcare coverage is plan-dependent. Some Singapore employer schemes include major dental with annual caps of S$2,000–S$5,000.
An insurer’s name alone does not confirm coverage — confirm your specific policy schedule before treatment begins. Dentalis provides itemised treatment plans and receipts for pre-authorisation or self-reimbursement claims.
Public vs Private
Public Hospital vs Private Clinic — Dental Implant Costs
Subsidised public hospital implants (NDCS, NUCOHS, CGH, TTSH) average S$4,859–S$6,600 for eligible Singapore Citizens. Private clinics range from S$1,250 to S$6,000+. MediSave applies in both settings. Wait times in private clinics are typically days; public institutions are weeks to months.
National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS), National University Centre for Oral Health Singapore (NUCOHS), and restructured hospital departments (CGH, TTSH, KTP) offer dental implants. Subsidised fees average approximately S$4,859 for an implant with crown at NDCS (based on 2024 data). Waiting times are typically several weeks to months for non-emergency implant consultation.

Singapore vs Johor Bahru
What the JB Price Difference Actually Means
Headline implant prices in Johor Bahru are often lower than Singapore private clinic rates. MediSave and CHAS generally do not apply to treatment received overseas. Implant treatment normally involves multiple appointments and long-term maintenance — each cross-border trip involves real costs in time and transport. Patients should compare the complete scope of care: clinician credentials, implant records and component traceability, follow-up arrangements, and how complications would be managed. There is no universal answer — calculate the full episode of care before deciding.

When Do I Pay?
The Payment Timeline for Dental Implant Treatment
Implant treatment spans 4–6 months. Costs are not paid as a single lump sum — each stage is invoiced at the point of treatment, and MediSave claims are submitted by the clinic at the surgical stage.
First visit — S$230
Consultation S$80 + CBCT 3D scan and iTero digital impression S$150. Paid on the day.
Implant surgery — S$3,000 (S$1,050 cash + S$1,950 MediSave)
MediSave deducted here. Clinic submits TOSP SB816M claim. MediSave covers S$1,950 (S$1,120 surgical + S$830 consumables). Cash balance at this stage: S$1,050. Remaining crown balance invoiced at a later stage.
Osseointegration review + Crown impression — S$1,500
Review to confirm bone integration. Digital impression taken for crown fabrication. Paid in cash at this appointment.
Crown fitting
Ceramic crown seated and adjusted to the surrounding bite.
A fee breakdown is provided before any procedure is booked. You will know the cost at each stage before committing. Nothing is invoiced without prior discussion.
The Long View
Is a Dental Implant Worth the Cost?
The cost of a dental implant is higher than a bridge or denture at the point of treatment. For a broader comparison of dental costs in Singapore, including how implant fees compare across other restorative procedures, see our Singapore dental cost guide. The comparison changes over time. A fixed bridge requires cutting down two healthy adjacent teeth permanently. A removable denture involves ongoing bone loss at the gap site. An implant replaces the root as well as the crown. Bone is preserved. Adjacent teeth are undisturbed.
The cost of waiting
When a tooth is extracted, the jawbone beneath it loses stimulation and begins to resorb — typically 25% of width within the first year, continuing over time. Adjacent teeth drift into the space. The opposing tooth may over-erupt. Each of these changes makes future restoration progressively more complex and expensive. Bone grafting becomes more likely. The eventual implant treatment scope expands. The cost of placing an implant early, when bone is adequate, is almost always lower than the cost of restoring the situation after years of delay.
Published clinical data supports long-term survival rates above 90% at 10 years for titanium implants placed in appropriate cases and maintained consistently.1,2 The decision is a clinical one — a consultation, not a price comparison, is the appropriate starting point.

Questions to Ask Before Accepting a Dental Implant Quotation
- Is this an all-inclusive price — fixture, abutment, and crown? Or is the crown quoted separately?
- Which implant system and brand will be used?
- Is bone grafting likely in my case? What would it cost, and when would I know?
- Are the consultation, CBCT scan, and post-operative reviews included, or billed separately?
- Are post-operative medications and review visits included in the fee?
- Are you CHAS-enrolled and MediSave-accredited?
- If a complication occurs after the procedure, what follow-up care is included?

Frequently Asked Questions
Dental Implant Cost Questions, Answered
A single dental implant at a private clinic costs S$1,250 to S$6,000+ before 9% GST. Korean-system implants at heartland clinics start from S$1,250 all-inclusive (fixture, abutment, and metal crown). European-system implants (Straumann, Camlog, Nobel Biocare) at private clinics range from S$3,500 to S$6,000. Public hospital subsidised fees average S$4,859 to S$6,600 for an implant with crown.
Yes. You may use the MediSave of an immediate family member — including a spouse, parent, child, sibling, or grandparent — subject to CPF Board approval and sufficient available balance.
MediSave covers the surgical placement of the implant fixture only (TOSP SB816M): up to S$1,120 per implant, plus S$830 in surgical consumables per session — a maximum of S$1,950 for a single-implant session. The crown, abutment, consultation, and CBCT scan are not claimable.
CHAS subsidies do not apply to the implant surgery itself. They may be used for the consultation, X-rays, and the permanent crown (up to S$625 for Pioneer Generation cardholders, from October 2025 rates) at CHAS-enrolled clinics. Flexi-MediSave, available from 1 June 2026 for patients aged 60+, additionally allows up to S$400/year toward the permanent crown at accredited CHAS clinics.
Five main factors: what is actually included in the quoted price (fixture only vs all-inclusive); the implant system (Korean vs Swiss/European); whether a general dentist or specialist oral surgeon performs the procedure; the clinic type (public hospital vs private); and whether preparatory procedures such as bone grafting or sinus lifting are required.
Not in every case. Whether grafting is required depends on bone volume at the implant site — assessed from a CBCT 3D scan, not a visual examination alone. This is confirmed at consultation before any treatment is scheduled, with costs provided in writing.
Subsidised public hospital fees may be lower for eligible patients, but the final cost depends on subsidy status, treatment complexity, implant components, and whether additional procedures are required. Waiting times are typically longer than at private clinics.
Headline prices in Johor Bahru are often lower. Compare the full cost of treatment, including multiple visits, transport, follow-up care, implant records, component availability, and the loss of Singapore MediSave and CHAS benefits before concluding.
Standard policies typically exclude implants. Some international and corporate plans (Cigna International, AXA PPP International, Allianz Care, Bupa International) may include implants depending on policy tier. Accident-related tooth loss may be covered even when routine implants are excluded. Confirm with your insurer before treatment begins.
Flexi-MediSave is a CPF scheme for Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 60 and above. From 1 June 2026, eligible seniors can use up to S$400/year toward permanent dental crowns on natural teeth and root canal treatment at accredited CHAS dental clinics. It does not apply to implant crowns or the implant procedure itself. The implant surgical placement remains claimable under standard MediSave (TOSP SB816M). Confirm your eligibility at consultation.
A full quotation is produced after consultation and CBCT imaging. Whether bone grafting or a sinus lift is required cannot be confirmed from an OPG alone. At Dentalis, a treatment plan with itemised fees and confirmed MediSave entitlements is provided before any procedure is scheduled. Nothing proceeds without your understanding.
